Why do people reject God?
Many people reject God for various reasons. people claim there is no proof of His existence, even though Scripture reminds us that “the heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands” (Psalm 19:1) and that “since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities and his eternal power and divine nature and have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made” (Romans 1:20).
Others rely on science or human reasoning, forgetting that “the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight” (1 Corinthians 3:19). The problem of evil and suffering often leads many to doubt God’s goodness, but the Bible assures us that “the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18) and that trials are used for a purpose (Romans 8:28). Some walk away due to confusing or contradictory religious teachings, yet Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).
Some people reject God due to personal pain, unanswered prayers, or trauma, forgetting that God promises, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). Negative experiences with hypocrisy in religion also push people away, though Jesus Himself warned of false teachers and hypocrites (Matthew 23:27).
Some simply want freedom to live without moral boundaries, but Scripture says, “They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator” (Romans 1:25).
Finally, culture and peer influence lead many astray, but Romans 12:2 urges us, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

Why do people kill other people?
Parents are murdering children, why?
First, know that this isn’t anything new.
Let’s talk about why people commit murder:
Murder originates inside of the mind then heart:
1. Human Nature
Genesis 6:5 describes humanity’s inner thoughts as “only evil all the time”— this truth aligns with behavioral science on aggression and moral decay. Aggression is when someone tries to hurt or control others through words or actions, often out of anger or jealousy. Moral decay is when people slowly stop caring about what’s right and wrong, leading to harmful or selfish behavior. Both can lead to violence, and the Bible shows that when people give in to these, like Cain did, it can end in murder.
2. Jealousy and Anger
Cain’s murder of Abel (Genesis 4) was driven by envy and unchecked emotion. God warned Cain: “Sin is crouching at your door… but you must master it.” Emotional regulation is only obtained by confessing our emotions to God. Only God can heal that type of deep and rooted pain, especially after betrayal.
3. Hatred as Moral Failure
1 John 3:15 equates hatred with murder. Jesus deepens this by teaching that unresolved anger carries the same moral weight (Matthew 5:21–22). Psychology supports this: hate often precedes violence.
4. Loss of Moral Accountability
Romans 3:18 says, “There is no fear of God before their eyes.” Without a sense of higher moral responsibility, human life becomes negotiable.
Ethical relativism means people believe right and wrong depend on their own opinions.
The Bible talks about people who don’t respect a higher moral rule, like “fear of God.” Without this respect, people might think anything they do is okay, even if it hurts others.

If you google “how to cure stress” it will say, “To cure stress, focus on managing your mind (breathing, meditation, journaling), taking care of your body (exercise, healthy diet, good sleep), and connecting with others, while also setting boundaries and avoiding unhealthy coping mechanisms like excessive caffeine or alcohol.” While these things sound good, they do not get to the root of the problem. The problem here with stress is that it must be spiritually resolved. Many of us worship our problems and our own minds and our stressors and these things take us away from focusing on the true and living God.
One tip that has helped me with my journey or stress and pain recovery was journaling. The definition of journaling is the habit of writing down your thoughts, feelings, or experiences on a regular basis. Journaling is used to express emotions, clear the mind, remember events, reduce stress, set goals, and reflect on our day. It can be done in a notebook, a diary, notes app, or voice notes which is spoken journaling.
Why is the word of God our first and final authority? 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work". Teaching is ideas or principles taught by an authority. God is the supreme authority. Colossians 1:16 says that "all things were created through him and for him, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities".
Rebuking is expressing sharp disapproval or criticism. Why would God disapprove of us? Rebuking means to express sharp disapproval, reprimand, or correct someone for their behavior or actions, with the goal of promoting repentance and positive change. “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full,” is what John 10:10 says. This is why we only follow what God says about us, not our own thoughts or others thoughts.
Correcting means to put right from error or fault. Joshua 1:9 says, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified, because the Lord your God goes with you.” This is proof that GOD CARES about us in every way. Do you believe it yet? Training means the action of teaching a person or animal a particular skill or type of behaviour. Why does God want to train us? To reveal His character, for our own good and joy, to combat pride as in “I can do it on my own,” and to develop character.

How do I know if thoughts are from me or from God? - January 19, 2026 by Aliya Alexander-May
Are thoughts either come from God, the devil, or ourselves. Psalm 94:19 says, “When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.” The many thoughts we have means the things we are afraid of and what we think about in our minds that bring us trouble. It is a promise that God’s help is greater than our trouble.
Psalm 94:10 says, “He knows everything, doesn’t he also know what you are doing? The Lord knows people’s thoughts; he knows they are worthless! Joyful are those you discipline, Lord, those you teach with your instructions. You give them relief from troubled times until a pit is dug to capture the wicked. The Lord will not reject his people; he will not abandon his special possession.”
Why do we need to speak the word of God when we have a thought? As soon as you think a thought and you meditate on it and think about it more then you need to open the Bible instantly and ask God to lead you to the scripture to confirm if that thought is from God.
“For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you future and a hope.” - Jeremiah 29:11.
Write down everything you think about and sit down and talk to God about it. He will hear and listen. “Then God said, let there be light,” and there was light.- Genesis 1:3. God spoke to create the earth and heavens and moon and stars. We are his children so we must do what our Father does. “I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me.” - John 15:5. This is why we must speak the word of God when we have a thought that we are pondering too hard on. If we speak the negative thought out loud, that gives Satan legal access into our lives.
“But the Lord said to me,
“Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’
Because everywhere I send you, you shall go,
And all that I command you, you shall speak. - Jeremiah 1:7.”
How to Know If You Have Anger Problems?
Recently, a friend has gotten married and they said to me, "Aliya, ever since I have been with my husband, figuring things out and having simple conversations, they always turn into big arguments. I think that I have anger issues." My friend was very distraught and upset about this. She had been going through some health issues for years now such as migraines and also financial issues. She was praying and trusting in God for the answers but she felt as if she still was going around in circles for around 4 years now." This was my advice to her as someone who lost their mom unexpectedly, battled chronic pain, and went through mental attacks over the past few years.
This is how you know if you have anger problems:
You wake up daily and your mind is already racing, you take a shower with your face frowned up and you look into the mirror and dislike your appearance. You go to the kitchen to see that you are almost out of your favorite granola and you check your bank account knowing you have no money there. You end up even more frustrated because you have 5 days until payday and you have no idea how to make more money because everytime you try you cannot stay consistent due to chronic migraines. You are truly tired.
What do you do?
Step 1: Talk to God: I know, you try this daily and it seems that you are talking most of the time and He is not answering. This time I want you to ask Him direct questions and be straightforward. Ask God, "Why am I so angry every day?"
Step 2: Listen for his response. Turn on a worship instrumental on Youtube and sit with God. Believe wholeheartedly that He will answer you.
Step 3: Write down everything you are angry about from the beginning of your life until the end. You can take as many days as you want or as many hours. Think deeply and carefully and write it all down.
Step 4: Open your Bible and ask God to guide you to His Words on anger. Read those verses and study the definitions of each word that He highlights to you. You will gain deep revelation on anger and how to cure anger.
Thank you for reading and don't worry, this will help!
